Insuring A Low Risk Car If You Are A Young Driver
The tables below uses the
Young Driver on the
Data Entry screen and the Young Driver Quoter but substitutes a vehicle from groups 1 to 21 and aged from new to 13 years old.
The Young Driver used in this example rates on the number of years driving experience, so a 20 year driver who has just passed their test will get a different premium that a driver who has been driving since 17.
You may also note that by 20, the scheme is no longer that competitive, this is by design as having older drivers on a scheme designed for young drivers will distort the claim history statistics.
Also at 20 years old the driver becomes eligible for vehicles in the higher groups, albeit at premiums that are mainly theoretical as almost nobody would actually pay them.
